Jones served with the Royal Canadian Field Artillery (467), 17 February 1900-13 December 1900 and Utrecht Volunteer Police (104), 26 March 1901-19 August 1901. Then with Kitchener’s Fighting Scouts, 26 August 1901-31 May 1902.

Horace Spencer Percival served with the Cape Medical Staff Corps for his Q.S.A. He then served in Kitchener’s Fighting Scouts, 20 June 1901-2 January 1902. Latterly served with Clayton’s Special Squadron.
