Richard Samuel Curtis was born and lived in Weston-super-Mare and enlisted at Taunton. Serving with the 1st Battalion Somerset Light Infantry he entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 21 August 1914. He was killed in action on the Western Front on 17 May 1915.

Private Albert J. James, 1st Battalion Somerset Light Infantry, entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 11 September 1914. Awarded the clasp to his star. Transferred to the Army Cyclist Corps on 8 December 1914.

Private Charles Stephens, 1st Battalion Somerset Light Infantry, entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 21 August 1914. Awarded the clasp to his star.

Albert John Carter was born in Islington, London. With the Somerset Light Infantry he entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 7 April 1915. Serving in the 7th Battalion Gloucestershire Regiment, he was killed in action in Mesopotamia on 19 April 1916.
