George Milne Laing was born in Bawny, Lanarkshire and enlisted at Glasgow. Originally served in the Lowland Division R.E. Serving with the 9th Battalion North Staffordshire Regiment he was killed in action, France/Flanders, on 26 April 1917. He was buried in the Point-du-Jour Military Cemetery, Athies.
