Waterloo 1815 (Pat. M’Cardle, Gunner, Royal Field Artillery.) fitted with original steel clip and ring suspension, nearly very fine £1200-1400
Patrick McCardle was born in the Parish of Tannell, County Tyrone. He enlisted for the Royal Artillery at Omagh on 29 April 1804, aged 19 years, for unlimited service. He served in Captain & Brevet Major Thomas Rogers’ Company, Royal Field Artillery, at Waterloo and was discharged at Woolwich on 31 May 1825, in consequence of ‘being judged unfit for service by a Medical Board, thro pains of Breat & Walcheren Fever and ordered by the Board of Ordnance to be Pensioned at One Shilling and One Penny per day 1st June 1825.’ Sold with copied discharge papers.
