Lawrence Nealis was born in and enlisted at Glasgow. As a Private in the 2nd Battalion Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders, he entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 11 November 1914. He was killed in action, France/Flanders, on 25 June 1915, aged 23 years. He was buried in the Ration Farm Military Cemetery, La Chapelle-d’Armentieres, Nord, France. Lawrence Nealis was the son of Mary Nealis, of 64 Graham Street, Govan, Glasgow. With copied casualty details and m.i.c. - showing entitlement to clasp.
