George Russell Hulme was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, U.S.A. on 19 March 1896. Employed as a Clerk and living at 381 Columbus Avenue, Boston, Massachusetts, he attested for the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force at Montreal on 23 October 1917. He served overseas in the 13th Battalion Canadian Infantry. He or a person of the same name was awarded the C.D. as a Trooper in the R.C.A.C. in January 1954. With attestation paper.

William David McMillan was born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia on 14 March 1886. A Cook by occupation, having previously served in the 104th Battalion, he attested for the 140th Battalion Canadian Infantry at Fredericton on 15 August 1916. Served overseas with the 26th Battalion. Accidentally shot in the right foot by a fellow soldier who was cleaning his rifle in October 1918. With copied service papers.

John Duncan Keir was born on 12 April 1879. Appointed Surgeon in the Royal Navy, May 1904 (London Gazette 31 May 1904) and Staff Surgeon, April 1912 (London Gazette 24 May 1912). Appointed Temporary Major in the Royal Air Force, October 1918 (London Gazette 26 November 1918), later appointed a Temporary Lieutenant-Colonel in the R.A.F. In March 1920, as a Wing Commander (Surgeon Lieutenant-Commander, R.N.) he relinquished his temporary R.A.F. commission on return to Naval duty (London Gazette 20 April 1920). Surgeon Commander Keir was placed on the Retired List with the rank of Surgeon Captain on 12 October 1928 (London Gazette 12 October 1928). With copied gazette extracts and R.A.F. service papers.
