Oswald Allen was born in Dunham Massey, Cheshire, lived in Urmston, Lancashire and enlisted at Manchester. Serving in the 66th Company M.G.C. (Infantry) he was killed in action in Salonika on 28 April 1917, aged 21 years. He was buried in the Karasouli Military Cemetery, Greece. He was the son of George and Elizabeth Allen, of 15 Ryecroft Road, Stretford, Manchester.

George William Brown was born and lived in Bow and enlisted at Poplar. Prior to joining the M.G.C. he served with the K.R.R.C. Serving with the 202nd Company M.G.C. he was killed in action at Passcendaele on 9 October 1917. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial.
