John Tomlinson enlisted from the West Middlesex Militia on 10 May 1812, at Athlone, Ireland. He served in the Peninsula, and at Waterloo in Lieutenant-Colonel Reeves’ Company, 3rd Battalion. He was discharged on 3 May 1819.
