Waterloo 1815 (William Bedwell, 1st Batt. 95th Reg. Foot) original steel clip and replacement ring suspension, obverse worn through polishing, reverse less so £1400-1800
William Bedwell was born near Canterbury, Kent. As a Private he served in Captain William Johnston’s Company, 1st Battalion 95th Regiment during the Waterloo campaign. Having served 24 years, six months with the regiment, he took his discharge and was admitted as an Out-Pensioner of the Royal Hospital Chelsea on 7 April 1832.
