Charles Blacher enlisted at Manchester on 10 June 1843, aged 17 years. Entered India in April 1848. Served in the suppression of the Indian Mutiny. Volunteered for the 7th Regiment at Fort William, Calcutta, February 1860. Invalided to England on 23 January 1868. With copied muster rolls.
