Awarded by Army Order October 1917. 16 awards to the North Irish Horse. As a Serjeant in the North Irish Horse he entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 17 November 1915 - entitled to a 1914-15 Star trio of medals. Commissioned on 25 April 1918. With copied m.i.c.
