With riband bar for the British War and Victory Medals and the French Special Insignia for Nurses - see O.M.R.S. Journal, Autumn 1991 for the article, ‘L’Insignie Spécial for Nurses’, by Norman Gooding (extract with lot). The award is not confirmed.
With B.R.C.S. & O. St. J. Chevron Certificate named to Miss D. Steele, as a Nurse at No. 2 Ards-Belae Hospital, Calais - awarded one blue chevron for service from 27 October 1918.
Also with a large photograph album containing many family and nursing service photographs; also a portrait photograph of Nurse Dorothy Steele.
Together with lapel badges (14) including: Red Cross; Red Cross & St. John, ‘C.H.S.S.’, enamelled; British Red Cross and Order of St. John, bronze; Veteran Reserve London; Friend of St. George’s Chapel; W.V.S. (2); A.R.P.; Girl Guide. The medals, riband bar and two of the badges in wooden glass-fronted case.
