Harry Gregory was born in Sutton Eastwood, Nottinghamshire on 17 August 1875. A Coal Miner by occupation, he enlisted into the Royal Marines at Nottingham on 12 April 1896. Served in the China War 1900, being based at the North West Fort, Taku, June-December 1900. Discharged April 1908. Re-enlisted 7 May 1915 but was discharged in July the same year due to disease of the liver. With copied service paper and roll extract.
