Century small-sword japanned for mourning, the 84cm hollow-triangular blade engraved with scrolls and a stand of arms, the entire hilt of cut steel faceted and inset with raised rivet heads, oval double-shell guard and urn shaped pommel all decorated en-suite, complete with its vellum covered scabbard with top locket middle-mount and chape, the whole sword and scabbard black japanned overall for mourning, the top locket engraved ‘Gill, Charing Cross’ the blade retaining almost all of the the original finish, scabbard with tape repair otherwise good condition overall £250-300
