An Officer’s 1796 Pattern Light Cavalry Sabre, the curved 82 cm bright blade by ‘Osborn Warranted’ with single fuller and with blue and gilt decoration extending 29 cms from the forte, the decoration displays the crown over GR over a mounted cavalryman, the Royal Arms of Great Britain pre 1801, trophies of arms and an Eastern style helmet and drapery, plain steel stirrup hilt langets and quillon, silver wire bound leather hand grip complete with steel scabbard, very slight pitting to one quillon and similar pitting to the well cleaned scabbard, otherwise very fine condition £600-800
