1796 Pattern Infantry Officer’s Gorgets, two good quality examples in copper gilt, the first with standard crowned GR cypher and attendant laurel sprays retaining all original gilt under a surface laquering, retains vestigial remains of the original blue silk rosettes; the other of similar pattern and complete with leather liner but lacks 95% of the original gilt, very good condition (2) £450-550
