South Africa’, ring suspension, ref Hibbard A9; together with three ornate Madras Volunteer Guards shooting badges, pin-backed: bronze, inscribed, ‘3rd Championship Sergt. C. V. Thorps, “B” Compy. 1905, won with 220 points; another, silver, inscribed, ‘Rifle Meeting 1906 The Championship Aggregate won by Sgt. C. V. Thorpe’; another, ‘Challenge Shield’, inscribed, ‘Col. Sgt.
