INDIA GENERAL SERVICE 1854-95, 1 clasp, Burma 1887-89 (Surgeon P. C. H. Strickland, I.M.S.), erasure after unit, otherwise extremely fine (2)

Major General William George Malcolm Strickland served in the Burmese Expedition, 1852-3, and was present at the defence of Martaban and recapture of Billing (medal with clasp).

Colonel Percy Charles Hutchinson Strickland served in the Burmese Expedition, 1889-90 (medal with clasp) and with the Mogoung column, Wuntho Field Force, Burma, 1891. He was promoted Colonel 15 May, 1914 and retired 19 August, 1920.
