JOHN, Knight of Grace, neck badge and breast star in silver and enamel, two arms of star repaired; INDIA GENERAL SERVICE 1895-1902, 2 clasps, Punjab Frontier 1897-98, Tirah 1897-98 (Sergt. Major, A.M.S.); BRITISH WAR MEDAL (Maj-Gen.), nearly extremely fine (5)

Surgeon General Thomas Martin Corker served on the North West Frontier of India, 1897-98, Malakand, including operations in the Mohmand Country; actions of the Sampagha and Arhanga Passes; operations against the Khani Khel Chamkanis and operations in the Bazar Valley 25 to 30 December (Despatches, London Gazette, 5 April 1898, medal with two clasps). Principal Medical Officer, Egypt, 1909-11, P.M.O. to various Divisions in India 1911-13. He was appointed Surgeon General in 1911 and Honorary Physician to the King in 1912. He served in India throughout World War land was made a Companion of the Bath in 1915.
