Enid Lady Burnham, C.B.E. (1957) was President, Buckinghamshire Red Cross, 1936-64, and of Buckinghamshire Federation of Women's Institutes, 1947-52. Her work with the Girl Guides Association for England was rewarded in 1957 with the C.B.E.; she served as Chief Commissioner, 1951-60, President of the Association, 1961-71, and continued as Vice-President until her death in 1979.
