Colonel Arthur William Macnaughton served in the Indian Mutiny including the pursuit of Tantia Topee (medal with clasp). Served in the Abyssinian war in 1868 and was present at the storming of Magdala (mentioned in despatches, medal). He was in command of the 2nd Bombay Light Cavalry in the Afghan War in 1880 (medal).
