BRITISH WAR MEDAL; MERCANTILE MARINE WAR MEDAL; LIVERPOOL SHIPWRECK AND HUMANE SOCIETY, MARINE MEDAL, silver (S.S. 'Welshman' for gallant service 26th Novr. 1921) with silver ribbon buckle, in original case of issue, together with the original hand illuminated certificate of thanks from the society, extremely fine (3)

Extract from the Society's 83rd Report for the year ended 1st July 1922:- Illuminated Certificate of Thanks and Silver Medal to Captain W. Rollerson, Leyland Liner 'Welshman'; silver-mounted Clock, Silver Medal and Certificate of Thanks to Chief Officer G. W. Petheram in charge of the lifeboat; and Silver Medal and Certificate of Thanks to five members of crew, for gallantly rescuing five of the crew of the Newfoundland schooner 'Stanley Joseph', abandoned in the North Atlantic Ocean, on the 26th November 1921.
