INDIAN MUTINY 1857-58, 1 clasp, Lucknow (Capt. & Brev. Major Hon. J. Fiennes, 7th Hussars) fitted with silver riband brooch, contact marks and some heavy bruising to edge, otherwise good fine

Colonel Hon. Ivo de Fesci Edward Twistleton Wykeham Fiennes served with the 7th Hussars in the Indian campaign from February 1858 to March 1859, and was present at the affair of Meengunge, siege and capture of Lucknow, affairs at Barree and Sirsee, action of Nawabgunge, occupation of Fyzabad, passage of the Goomtee at Sultanapore, affairs of the Kandoo Nuddee and Paleeghat, throughout the Trans-Gogra campaign as Cavalry Brigade Major, including passage of the Gogra at Fyzabad, affairs of Muchleegaon and Kumdacoti, advance into Nepaul, and affair at Sitkaghat (several times mentioned in despatches, Brevet of Major, medal with clasp).
