Corporal Patrick Scott was awarded the Al Valore Militare, 'landed with the regiment in the Crimea on the 15th of December, 1854. Never missed a tour of duty in the trenches until after the 5th September, 1855, when he was wounded severely by a piece of shell in the right knee.'
