SOUTH AFRICA 1877-79, 1 clasp, 1879 (3425 Pte. C. Cox, 3/60th Foot) very fine

Charles Cox was born in St. Leonard's, Shoreditch, London, in 1860 and was a ticket cutter by trade. He served in the Barnet Militia prior to his enlistment into the 60th Royal Rifles in 1878. He saw service in the Zulu campaign of 1879 and in the Egyptian campaign of 1882, being present at the battle of Tel-El-Kebir. Sold with copy attestation and discharge papers.
