DISTINGUISHED CONDUCT MEDAL, G.V.R. (L-27732 Cpl., 75/A. Bde. A.C., R.F.A.); 1914-15 STAR (Cpl.); BRITISH WAR AND VICTORY MEDALS (A-Sgt., R.A.) together with Royal Artillery cap badge, slightly polished, therefore nearly very fine (5)

D.C.M., London Gazette, 17 April, 1918. 'For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. When an ammunition dump was set on fire he worked for several hours assisting in extinguishing the fire and saving the ammunition. He carried out his duties on all occasions, frequently under heavy fire, with great energy and determination.'
