A Defence of Kimberley group of three which includes the rare KimberleyMedal to Sergeant J. Taylor, Kimberley Town Guard

QUEEN'S SOUTH AFRICA 1899-1902, 4 clasps, Defence of Kimberley, Orange Free State, Transvaal, S.A. 1901 (Serjt., Kimberley Town Gd.); MAYOR OF KIMBERLEY'S MEDAL 1899-1900, silver, named on the edge (Sergt., Kimberley Town Guard) suspension slack; MAJOR OF KIMBERLEY'S STAR 1900, date letter 'a', these last two fitted with contemporary silver ribbon brooches, very fine or better and rare (3)

There is some confusion on the medal rolls as to which clasps, in addition to Defence of Kimberley, Sergeant Taylor was entitled to and the group is therefore sold with confirmation of the Kimberley clasp only.
