A Great War pair to 2nd Lieutenant E.W. Dudley, Royal Sussex Regiment, who was killed in action in France 1916

BRITISH WAR AND VICTORY MEDALS (2. Lieut.) together with bronze memorial plaque (Eric Whittington Dudley) and framed Buckingham Palace letter, good very fine

Eric Dudley was Managing clerk at Parker Garret & Co., London, and enlisted into the H.A.C. in August 1914. He was commissioned into the Royal Sussex Regiment on 4 December 1915, and served in France with the 13th battalion. He was killed in action on 30 June 1916, during an attack made by the 13th battalion at Ferme du Bois during which they suffered heavy casualties.
