Oman, MUSCAT AND OMAN, Feisal bin Turkee, Quarter-Anna and Twelve-Anna, 1311 (KM 2 and 1), both fine, but second with much verdigris on reverse, scarce, particularly last; Sa'id bin Taimur, Proof Restrike Half-Dhofari Riyals, AH 1367 (1947) (KM 29) (5), about as struck, deeply toned, two with a rather coppery colour to reverses; Oman, Conservation Series 2.5-Riyals, 1977, and an FAO Riyal, 1978, a little mishandled extremely fine (9)

The Half-Dhofari Riyals were struck at the Bombay mint. As a result the dies were available for restriking, a practice which ceased about 1971. Proof restrikes are not seen all that often and it would appear they were made in comparatively small numbers
