India, GUPTA EMPIRE, Samudragupta (c. 335-380 AD), Stater, Standard type, king standing, nimbate, to left, holding standard in his left hand, rev. Lakshni seated on throne (Mitch. 4773 if.). About very fine, only part of obverse marginal legend showing, but a pleasing example, with face of monarch, his cap and apparel boldly defined
