Robert Stone served in Wilmot's company which, together with Truscott's company, were the only two companies in action as gun brigades in the battle before Corunna on 16 January 1809. Both companies were awarded the Honour Title 'Corunna' for this action. Of more than 400 Corunna clasps issued to the Artillery only 63 were to men from these two companies.
