Warrant Officer Alfred Boulton, Air Gunner, 148 and 207 Squadrons (Wellingtons and Lancasters) is shown on operations with 148 Squadron at Kubrit, Middle East from 1 July-15 November, 1942, his targets in the Western Desert including numerous raids against troop and transport concentrations around Tobruk, Sollum and Benghazi. His operations with 207 Squadron from 12 April, 1944, include raids on Brunswick, Schwienfurt, Annecy, Bourg, Amiens and Duisberg. He failed to return after a bombing mission against Brunswick on the night of 22-23 May, 1944, and was reported missing, presumed killed. He is buried in the Reichwald Forest War Cemetery.
