'Second Lieutenant Genia Green, French Army, for exceptionally meritorious achievement which aided the United States in the prosecution of the war against the enemy in Continental Europe as Chief of a Welfare Team attached to the Third United States Army, from September 1944 to May 1945. Second Lieutenant Green displayed great initiative and ability in organising and supervising Displaced Persons Centres at Errouville, France and Trier, Frankfurt and Wildflecken, Germany. Her resourcefulness and outstanding devotion to duty contributed in large measure to the efficient handling of large masses of displaced persons by Third United States Army, reflecting great credit upon her and the Allied Armed Forces.'
