France, c. 1925. France. "Nike', a large bronze Art Deco medal by P.-M. Dammann, head of Nike right with symbols around, reverse standing male nude with cloak and torch surveys landscape, limited issue No. 5 of 20, 100mm (cf. "Die Frau in der Medaille", pl. vii, 68, for a similar piece but 81mm). Good very fine, very rare limited issue; together with fitted base for free standing (the fixation needs minor repair)
