France, c. 1930. France. "Naked Females Standing", a cast bronze relief by M. Kogan, numbered 5 of 6, 168 x 54mm. Extremely fine and an extremely rare limited issue
Moshe Kogan (1879-1942), sculptor and engraver, worked in Germany and, later, in Paris, where he was strongly influenced by the work of Rodin and Maillol. He was, for a short time, a member of the Munich Artists Association. The Museum of Modern Art in Paris has two terracotta plaques by him (see Benezit V,p. 287). Illustrated half size
