Sold with the medal is the original box in which it was despatched from the Royal Mint, postmarked 17 February 1927, to the recipient, Mr. R. Jenkinson, of Penistone Road, Sheffield. The medals were issued to those who had given service to the London, Midland and Scottish Railway Company during the General Strike of 1926
