Charles Goldrick served formerly in the 16th Lancers as a Musician, rising to the rank of Sergeant. He joined the Birmingham Police in 1889, aged 26 years and served with distinction until his death on 12 August 1912. Fifty coronation medals were awarded to Birmingham officers at a presentation on 18 September 1912. In the case of Detective Chief Inspector Goldrick the medal was handed to him privately before his death. Sold with further research.
