Harry Daniels won the Victoria Cross at Neuve Chappelle. 1915, whilst Company Sergeant Major, 2nd Bn. Rifle Brigade. He was commissioned shortly after and won the Military Cross in March 1916. for gallantry at Fromelles. He was a keen sportsman and his chief pastimes were gymnastics, boxing and all outdoor sports.
