A member of the Portsmouth battalion, R.M.L.I. Approximately 25 1914 stars to officers of this battalion. Lieutenant Brooke-Short landed with 'B' Company, Portsmouth R.M.L.I., in Gallipoli 25- 29 April 1915, and was wounded on the 30th April at Anzac beach.
