R.V.M. awarded 2 June 1943: Housemaid, Buckingham Palace.
Marjory Carmichael Dewar was born in 1892 and joined the Royal household in 1913. She was promoted Housemaid 2nd class in 1923 and eventually became Head Housemaid on the Belgian Floor of Buckingham Palace in 1929. She retired in 1960 and died in 1965.
Sold with various original documents, including award certificates for the R.V.M., Coronation Medals, 30 and 40 years clasps, and warrants of appointment or restricted permission to wear letters for all foreign awards.
