Royal Flying Corps, an extremely rare complete WWI Naval-cap tally ‘Royal Flying Corps’, 45” in length by 11/8”, gold thread embroidery on fine black silk band; together with a small sweet-heart’s base metal and enamel brooch to the Royal Naval Air Service, some tarnishing to the lettering consistent with age otherwise in excellent condition (2) £400-500

Research indicates that only six other such cap tallies are recorded in collections. A small detachment of approximately 30/40 RFC personnel were briefly attached to the nascent RNAS.
