Flight Sergeant Eric Simonds Bayley was killed on 7 November 1942 when his Liberator crashed on landing, after returning from an anti-submarine sweep. All seven crew members were killed and are buried at Manchester Southern Cemetery, Lancashire. Sold with additional copied research material, including details of previous operational sorties.
