Swimming, a group of eight medals awarded to Miss Nellie Hogg, 1896-1921, viz. silver and enamel badge ‘Presented by the LSC at the Opening of the School Board Baths 23 April 1896’; silver and enamel Maltese Cross badge, ‘Presented by the BOAFC Swimming Club 1896’; small engraved silver medal, ‘Presented by the BSC on her first visit to Aberdeen 3rd Oct. 1897’; large engraved silver medal, ‘Presented for Ornamental Swimming, Warrender Private Baths, 26 Nov. 1897’, hallmarked JA, Birmingham; openwork silver medal of lifebuoy with heart in centre, clasp engraved ‘Presented by HMSC 1898’, original suspension and ribbon; Alloa Public Baths and Gymnasium, silver medal, reverse swimming pool with swimmers, edge engraved ‘Swimming Gala 29.4.98’; Royal Life Saving Society, small bronze medal (N.P. Hogg, July 1919) and silver Award of Merit (Nellie P. Hogg 1919). A most interesting group of swimming awards worthy of further research, generally very fine (8)
