Naval General Service 1793-1840, 2 clasps, Egypt, Trafalgar (Samuel Green) edge bruise, otherwise dark toned, good very fine

Ex Lord Cheylesmore Collection.
Samuel Green served as a Private, Royal Marines, aboard H.M.S.
Ajax at Egypt, and in the same capacity aboard H.M.S. Victory at Trafalgar. Approximately 21 Royal Marine recipients of the Trafalgar clasp for service aboard the Victory, and only 9 medals issued to Royal Marines with this clasp combination. The medal rolls show one other man of this name who received clasps for ‘Implacable 26 Aug 1808’ and ‘7 July Boat Service 1809’. Sold with full service details and confirmation from the roll held at the Public Record Office.
