Three: Private Joseph Blythe, Coldstreams Guards

Crimea 1854-56, 1 clasp, Sebastopol (3199 1st Battn. Coldm. Guards) regimentally impressed naming; Turkish Crimea 1855, Sardinian issue, unnamed, fitted with Indian Mutiny suspension; Army L.S. & G.C., V.R., small letter reverse (3199 1st Battn. Coldm. Guards) contact marks and polished, therefore good fine and better (3) £120-140

Joseph Blythe was born at Sudbury, Suffolk, and enlisted there for the Coldstream Guards on 14 September 1846, aged 18 years 4 months. He served with the army in the Crimea for 1 year 7 months, and was discharged at London on 28 March 1868. He died on 27 January 1902. Sold with copy discharge papers.
