Three: Sergeant (Air Gunner) V. Anderson, No. 7 Squadron, Royal Air Force
1939-45 Star; Air Crew Europe Star; War Medal, together with named condolence slip, card box of issue, A/G cloth wing, a copy photograph and his original Observer’s and Air Gunner’s Flying Log Book, for the period September 1941 to August 1942, detailing 15 operational missions. The lot is also sold with a 1939-45 War Medal in card box of issue addressed to his wife who served as a Corporal in the W.A.A.F., extremely fine (4)

Sergeant V. Anderson, a rear gunner with 7 Squadron (Stirlings) commenced war operations in May 1942. He was killed in a raid on Nuremburg on the night of 28/29 August 1942 and is buried in Sage War Cemetery, Oldenburg.
