R.F.A.); 1914 Star (25931 Sjt., R.F.A.); British War and Victory Medals (A.W.O.Cl.I., R.A.); Defence Medal; Army L.S. & G.C., G.V.R. (25931 B.S.Mjr., R.F.A.); Roumania, ‘Barbatie Si Credinta’ bronze medal with swords, these re-attached, mounted as worn, contact wear, otherwise generally very fine or better (8)

D.C.M. London Gazette 18 February 1918. ‘For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. During operations he rendered valuable assistance in patrolling lines and visiting visual stations under heavy shell fire with an absolute disregard of danger. By unfailing good work and devotion to duty he has at all times inspired all ranks to work cheerfully, and has set a splendid example.’
