Robert Warner Stone, Ensign, 23 July 1858; Lieutenant, 31 January 1860; Captain, 17 November 1863; Major, 1 October 1877; Hon Lieutenant-Colonel, South Staffordshire Regiment, 2 October 1883. Served in New Zealand from November 1863 until January 1867 and took part in the operations under Major-General Duncan Cameron in 1865-66. He died in 1890.
