Frederick Gordon Tucker was born on 18 November 1883 and was educated at Haversham School; Private Secretary to the Parliamentary secretary, Ministry of Transport. Mobilised with the 6th London Regiment on 4 August 1914, and served three years in France and Flanders. DAAG at General Headquarters, October 1918 to January 1920.
