Crimea 1854-56, 3 clasps, Alma, Inkermann, Sebastopol (Edwd. Green, 4th Regt.) officially impressed naming, contact marks and heavy edge bruising, good fine £160-180

Edward Green was born at Pinchbeck, Spalding, Lincolnshire, and enlisted into the 4th Regiment at Stamford on 1 October 1840. He deserted in June 1853 for which he was tried and imprisoned for three months, and branded in his forearm with the letter ‘D’. During his service he was thirty-eight times entered in the regimental defaulters book and twice tried by court martial. He was discharged in September 1864. Sold with copy discharge papers.
